BATON ROUGE, La. – Directed Analytics, a leading innovator in education technology solutions, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a prestigious contract by Baton Rouge Community College’s (BRCC) Program for Successful Employment (PSE) to provide its revolutionary Integrated Dashboard SaaS and Transition Skills as a Service (TSaaS). This collaboration marks a significant milestone in leveraging technology and evidence-based practices to enhance student success related to higher education and competitive employment goals.
BRCC, an institution dedicated to providing accessible and affordable education, recognized the need for comprehensive tools that would assist students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disabilities (ID) or intellectual disabilities in their transition to higher education, competitive employment, and independent living. Directed Analytics' TSaaS is poised to make a profound impact by offering students targeted support in areas critical for competitive employment success, such as time management, study skills, and effective communication.
“BRCC invests in programs in this community,” said Dr. Sarah Barlow, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs at BRCC. “This is going to be served to students to help get them into lifelong learning.”
In addition to the access to on demand subject matter experts through TSaaS, Directed Analytics will provide BRCC with its Integrated Dashboard SaaS, a powerful platform that provides educators with the ability to collect, share, and report student employability skills data using a standard approach. This dashboard will enable educators to home in on student strength areas and understand what activities are needed to reach employability skills development goals for individuals with ASD and ID or ID. It also provides a standard methodology for education organizations to collect, share, and collaborate.
“Students with intellectual disabilities (ID) have an employment rate of 10% nationally,” explained Derrick Wesley, "Graduates of Comprehensive Transition Programs like BRCC’s PSE report between 73 to 91% competitive integrated employment rates. This is big because one of our overarching goals is to help individuals marginalized by society and often regarded as not being capable of obtaining and maintaining competitive employment - we want to be a part of changing their trajectory.”
“This is a huge step for Baton Rouge because Higher Ed is a critical part of the student with ASD and ID employment ecosystem (e.g., School Districts, Higher Ed, Vocational Rehab, Community Partners, and Employers). Our vision is to improve competitive employment outcomes by providing data continuity and implementing evidence-based transition practices across the different parts of the employment ecosystem,” explained Jody Mitchell.
Directed Analytics is excited about the opportunities this collaboration with BRCC presents and is dedicated to providing ongoing support to ensure the successful implementation and utilization of these innovative solutions.
