Calling All College Students, Apply Now for Nexus Louisiana's Pitch Competition to Take Your Idea to the Next Level
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 22, 2024 Nexus Louisiana is looking for innovative minds at Louisiana's colleges and universities. Forward-thinking students are invited to pitch their brilliant business idea at PitchBR on February 8, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Red Stick Social on Government Street. PitchBR provides entrepreneurs an opportunity to enhance their company brand through presentation and public exposure.
Participants will present their product or technology to a panel of judges for the chance to win $1,000. Pitchers also receive audience and judge feedback, coaching from prominent business consultants, and connections to non-funding resources, such as professional services donors and providers.
To be considered, visit Nexusla.org/pitchBR and click "Apply to Pitch." All applicants should be based in Louisiana, have less than $250,000 in revenue, and have less than $1 million invested in their company. The deadline to apply is February 5 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
Since 2016, over 50 companies have participated in PitchBR, including ASAP, formerly Waitr. "We are always excited to bring PitchBR back," says Nexus Louisiana Technology Park Executive Director Stephen Loy. "I'm looking forward to the pitches from our college students. I have heard a lot of great ideas come from our campuses, and we want them to know that our ecosystem is strong and we can support you before or after you graduate."
Networking begins at 5:30 p.m., and pitches begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. This event is open to the public and free to attend. Refreshments will be served. To register to attend, visit our website.
